01
Problem Space
For my capstone project, I decided to focus on a topic that I personally struggle with: reading and successfully finishing a b
ok. And, as it turns out, I'm not alone in this struggle.

02
Solution
Readers often enjoy reading more when they can discuss books with others. By developing an app that pairs readers with compatible reading buddies and tracks their progress, users can hold each other accountable and enhance their overall reading experience.
03
User Interviews
Before beginning the design process, I needed some additional context so I conducted user interviews on three readers. My primary focus was to figure out:
✅ Why do readers abandon books?
✅ What would motivate them to start building a consistent reading routine?
These are some key themes found amongst our interviewees:

04
User Persona
Based on the research insights and user interview goals, I developed a primary persona demonstrating our target users, especially their goals and pain points.
06
Ideating and creating wireframes
After initial sketching, I created low-fidelity wireframes in Figma to visualize the product.
05
Branding
For the the brand identity. I chose colors like purple and green to create a welcoming and playful feel. And as for the typography, I opted for a clean and minimal style to achieve a contemporary look.
